You just KNOW I have so much to say on this one! :)

1) Life is fluid, this was racing through my head as I read your post (only to find at the end that you used those exact words!)... We are ever changing, there is so much stimulus all the time to process and integrate or clear out that we are bound to realign ourselves. You can have it all. Not all at the same time, but you can over your life time... and maybe when we're in our 40's making jam and messy children's beds you'll get a call from me "Hey Vick, its the paper plate princess... check your email, there's a script in your inbox" and maybe we'll perform together. Maybe you'll want that experience again; or maybe you won't. But giving yourself the freedom, the potent energy of possibility to evolve and grow and to say "no thank you" is a recognition of your free will and a giant act of self love. Congratulations

2) Attachments to who we think we are, what we think we want/should want/who we think we have to be for others to recognise us/our personal expectations... attachment: the creation of an identity and the clinging to it can completely block the flow of life. Rather than grabbing at things we can open our palms to the sky, empty our pockets allowing for newness, renewal, inspiration and guidance to flow in.

3) Are our actions fueled by fear or love? Going to an audition for fear of failing rather than love of the process is going to riddle your mind body and soul with anxiety and discomfort. It sounds like to me you were involved in the performing arts in your early years from a place of love and expression. Then it shifted... your dream changed without you knowing, or perhaps the universe had a different plan for you that what you had for yourself... and then you started acting from that fear place, ego's favourite vacation spot!!!! I read a quote the other day "Any choice made from faith has the full power of heaven behind it", a half a page down it said: "It is not WHAT we choose that matters; our power to influence an outcome lies in our reasons for making a specific choice".

You are a beautiful living example of openness, faith, self honesty and true wellness. Thank you for inspiring this dialogue. Love you.

PS. This will now link you to my blog... which I kept private until now... you have inspired me to be open with my thoughts and my questions. I hope you'll comment too.Laura Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07483566577261476292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331712546693208194.post-71487301580998802722010-06-28T20:19:31.937-04:002010-06-28T20:19:31.937-04:00It is so hard to be honest. Just admitting that a dream has changed can be so scary, but you are right, if you can't be honest with yourself, you are living someone else's life. not your own.Lilanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331712546693208194.post-49369896215348921892010-06-21T12:32:10.825-04:002010-06-21T12:32:10.825-04:00I've had very similar realizations over the pa...I've had very similar realizations over the past year and a half or so. Often, if you're not careful, a dream can turn into a kind of trap. And that sometimes the hardest person to be honest with is yourself.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15889220011513967816noreply@blogger.com
